Khalid Bey was born in Syracuse, New York in January of 1971. He is attended public schools, graduating from Corcoran Senior High; he attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia as a Social Work Major, and studied Psychology at Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Over the last 15 years, Khalid has been an advocate for the south side of Syracuse and for underserved communities throughout the City in general.

Khalid is an author (he has written three books; a fourth on the way) and a public speaker. He has lectured at a number of colleges and universities, as well as at a number of community events along the East coast and in the Midwest, speaking particularly about man’s personal identity, human behavior and human relationships.

Khalid is a Board Member at Home HeadQuarters, Inc. He is also a Board Member at Faith and Hope Community Center.

In addition to writing books and speaking publicly, Khalid manages a small business, The Atlantean Group, LLC., a Community Development Entity (CDE), which has a focus of economically empowering Low Income Communities and/or Low Income Persons in the City of Syracuse.
